What If? is our newest series of articles that ask the question what if old favorites, or old games in general were remade and revived and given new life in this next-generation world. Will it succeed with the likes of Halo, God Of War, and Wii Sports giving stiff competition?
We give our wish of something we would like to see reborn and given new life and we ask that you the readers comment on it and give us your feedback either in the comments section or the forums.

Super Mario Paint
Remember that old game on SNES with Mario in a funny painter hat and a brush, where you made pictures and played a few mini games. You drew things freehand with a mouse then colored them in using various brushes. Like an expensive version of MS Paint. Few people do…the rest refused to buy it. Imagine it now, in next-gen land. Floating Mario head following your paintbrush as you wave your Wii-mote. It would be great if done right, it would have to use the Wii-mote Plus for extra precision. It would make the subtle movements of the Wii-mote really accurate. It would have to have added value than just MS Paint on a console, it would be great to wish you could color full levels from a Mario game right down to the last block. Add in some color matching sequences and puzzles to make it a time eater. Do something with co-op like a LittleBigPlanet-esque type game mode where players create portraits and pictures and color them in together and create. Online should be also a must with sharing and so forth with drawings and connectivity with the DS version of Mario Paint Wii so you can work on your drawing on the go! I’m surprised as anyone why Nintendo didn’t throw this idea out there yet, it should be remade and could very well be an amazing game, tack on a few things the Wii is great at doing (Mini-Games) and you got yourself a hit.
