NHN Corp. and Polygon games have recently came to a publishing agreement with each other to make Polygon Games: Project E:st. I like to refer to it as Project East but thats just me. Anyways E:st as I will refer to it, has recently been announced along with a gameplay trailer that you can see below. The game is another in a short but growing list of MMORPG’s that utilize the CryEngine 2. Which is quite a feat and will be a powerhouse to be reckoned with come later this year. The game itself is described an ‘Asian Fantasy Game’ with a very immersive storyline coupled with amazing graphics only possible with the CryEngine 2 will make it appeal to gamers. Well, it has got my vote if I could run it. Check out the screens below, and don’t forget to comment here and on the forums.

Looks like the gameplay trailer is missing, but I do enjoy when games successfully emulate art which is how these screenshots seem to portray things. A MMO though? Do we really need another?

Is that an elephant in the bottom picture? Very pretty screenies! I wonder what target market this will be aimed at.
It’s an MMO, and an RPG, and an eastern themed one. That pretty much puts the target market into the hands of the anime crowd.
I suppose that makes sense – I know a bunch of people who would fall into that category as well. Will be interesting to see what it plays like!
